About 

Ana Acosta was born in Uruguay and her roots are Brazilian. She carries in her soul all the magic and joy of Carnival and in her blood the rhythm of Samba. Ana started her dance studies in Uruguay, training at the Ballet School.

Motivated by her Brazilian blood, she joined the Samba School in her city, since then her evolution has been constant. Ana studied and developed the art of Samba with the best teachers from Brazil in Salvador de Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Ibiza, Barcelona and Munich. Ana was lucky enough to dance at three greatest schools of Samba, in the Sambadrome of Marquês de Sapucaí, in Rio de Janeiro.

From the study of Samba, her interest continues to grow allowing her to know more about the dances of the African Matrix.

In 2016 Ana worked together with the African teacher Papson Sylla, coordinating his African dance tour of South America: Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, and intensive dance seminars in Ibiza.

Without fear of broadening her horizons, She traveled to California, USA at the end of 2016, where she worked successfully for 3 months with the show company ¨Samba Conmigo¨.

Since 2003 Ana Acosta has been living in Ibiza, Spain. This is where Sambawé was born. She spends the Ibiza summers giving shows, touring and training in Europe; when winter falls she takes her little Samba feet to Uruguay to continue the same work in the southern hemisphere where it's summer again.
